Short Biog (45)
Flowing from the magical valleys of De Cymru, award-winning Welsh artist Bethan Nia combines the best of traditional and original folk music and song. Planted firmly in her Celtic roots, Bethan pairs ethereal vocals and harp to create a contemporary spin on her ancient heritage.
Long Biog (109)
With her harp and ethereal vocals, Bethan Nia creates lush, dynamic melodies with crisp production aesthetics. Combining earthy Welsh folk songs with her own song writing and ornate arrangements, she creates a unique sound and essence of 'ansawdd' (quality) that fans from all over the world have recognised. Bethan is a winner of the coveted Danny Kyle award at Celtic Connections, and has played many other prestigious festivals including Festival Interceltique de Lorient and Glastonbury Festival. She has recently played at the British Embassy in Paris to celebrate St David’s Day, and continues to develop new works behind the scenes after the success of her 2021 bilingual album "Ffiniau".
